Translate: We are going out all the time. Whether it's for lunch, dinner or just to meet each other. Last Thursday, I spent the morning with the girl from Sweden - Emma, and in the evening I met some girls from Germany in downtown Bethesda. We went to a restaurant and then we had a Frozen Yogurt afterward, since I hadn't tried it yet. It's a thing you have to try, when your'e in the US. Yesterday evening, I met again with the German girls Julia and Miriam. We just spent time in Bethesda and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere. Bethesda is so beautiful in the evenings with lights everywhere, music and lots of people. People are very open-minded here and some are really offensive. Two boys came over and one of them was asking about my name. That was the beginning of a really awkward experience. The boy said that he was nineteen and then Julia demanded to see his ID. It turned out that the boy was eighteen, and without thinking at all, I exclaimed: "Oh God, you're just the same age af my little brother", and then Julia and Miriam could't stop laughing. It must have been embarrassing to him, but it doesn't seem that way. Later in the evening, after we had a crepe with sugar, we went to a place with benches and fountains. At the crosswalk he showed up again just to letting me know, that he thought I was beautiful, and then he quickly walked away. I shook my head, while the girls were laughing and joking about the episode. Later he came back for the third time and asked for my number, and when I said no, he wanted me to reconsider. The girls could't stop laughing this time either, and I just thought he was annoying and the situation was totally awkward. American guys are so weird! Today I've been off all day and haven't spent time with my hostfamily at all. I allowed myself a good night sleep and when I woke up I skyped with my lovely family. I spent my morning and early afternoon exploring downtown Bethesda on my own, looking at the beautiful American houses in the neighborhood, trying to find my gym without success, going to the bank and shopping a bit. Then I went home, got a healthy lunch and otherwise took a nap. All the new impressions and new things make me kind of tired all the time, so a nap was good! At five o'clock I was picked up by a German girl named Stephanie. A girl I've met on Facebook before I came to the States. She lives in Rockville, which is not that far from Bethesda. We went to an Italian restaurant, ate cupcakes from the famous "Georgetown Cupcakes" and enjoyed the beautiful live music by the fountain. It was a boy and a girl who played the guitar and sang, and it sounded fantastic. We were listening to them for hours. (The boy from yesterday also showed up tonight, and when he came over for a talk, I had to tell him nicely that he should find his friends instead ... Poor boy) I had a really lovely evening with Stephanie, and it was like we had known each other for ages. We talked a lot, yeah! It was really nice, we had lots of fun, and I think we will meet again next week.
